How does Easy Cat Sudoku help you learn the rules?
The five-by-five format lets you inspect the entire board without keeping a long list of positions in mind. You need five cats, one for each row, column and colored region. Start by tracing the irregular outlines, then check where a region intersects a row. This is Queens-style placement logic rather than a miniature number sudoku. Empty squares are supposed to stay empty, and there are no three-by-three boxes or digits to complete. The Easy name identifies this compact size; it is not a measured difficulty rating.
Where should you look first on the compact cat puzzle?
A small region is a useful starting point because it has fewer possible homes to inspect. If it contains one square, that position is forced. If its candidates occupy one row, the region reserves that row even when the exact square is unknown. Other regions cannot use the same row for their cats. Try making this observation before choosing a plausible-looking position. Then scan the columns too: a square can be the only legal position in a column without looking special inside its color region.
How do you practise Cat Sudoku marks without losing track?
Use the compact board to learn exactly what an exclusion means. After a justified cat placement, mark the other squares in its row, column and region, plus its touching neighbors. The game leaves this note-taking to you; crosses do not automatically appear and are not verified as part of the answer. If you remove that cat, inspect the marks it caused before continuing. You do not need to cross out every empty square to win, so prioritize notes that help you see the next useful restriction.
What happens if an Easy Cat Sudoku move conflicts?
Conflicting cats turn white on red squares, and the text below the tools names the violated relationship. Cats in different regions can still share a row or column, or touch diagonally. Tap a conflicting cat to remove it and inspect the remaining placements. Erase clears the selected occupied square; Undo restores the previous move. Hint removes an incorrect cat or adds a correct one from the unique solution. It reveals an answer rather than explaining the logic, so use it deliberately if your goal is practice.
When should you move from Easy to a larger cat puzzle?
Try another five-by-five arrangement until you can explain both your placements and your exclusions. You can then explore six-by-six or another size using the dropdown. There is no required score, rank or completion time to unlock a board. Play again gives you a fresh practice puzzle at this size. Your current puzzle and statistics stay in this browser when local storage is available; they do not automatically transfer to another device or an old website address. Choose the next size for your comfort and curiosity.
Before moving on, try naming the reason for each cross on your compact board. Does it share a row, column, region or touching relationship with a placed cat, or follow from a reserved line? This short review turns a completed arrangement into a useful exercise instead of merely a solved counter.
